Ways to Give

In February 2025, armed gangs attacked Qui-Croit, destroyed homes, and seized the community’s only school. WIA reopened in a new location in Fort Jacques. Nearly 300 children show up every day. But what they need to keep going is beyond what one young organization can carry alone.

Every need on this page is real, current, and urgent.

Give a Daily Meal

$1 = 1 meal

For most children at WIA’s school, the meal they receive during the school day is the only meal they eat. One dollar feeds one child for one day. The math is that simple. The impact is not. $30 = one child fed for a month. $365 = one child fed for an entire school year. Every dollar goes directly to the school feeding program.

Support Teacher Salaries

From One-time or recurring

Teachers at WIA’s school are underpaid, but they show up every day because the children depend on them. They need to feed a family too. Teacher compensation is the program’s most critical unmet need. Contributions help us retain teachers and keep classrooms running.

Support English & Computer Classes

Equipments urgently needed

Volunteers teach English remotely from the United States over Zoom. Right now, 4 old computers serve an entire classroom of 20 students. One single laptop connects 20 children to their Zoom English class. There is no reliable internet. There is no reliable electricity.

Read a Story. Help Write Another

Every book tells a story. Every purchase helps write another one.

Dr. Claude Louis’s children’s books are created to help keep children in school through Words In Action Haiti. 100% of the proceeds support educational opportunities for our children.

Choose one book—or collect them all—and help a child continue their education and write their own story one day.
