In February 2025, armed gangs attacked Qui-Croit, destroyed homes, and seized the community’s only school. WIA reopened in a new location in Fort Jacques. Nearly 300 children show up every day. But what they need to keep going is beyond what one young organization can carry alone.
Thirty-seven children in our school have lost one or both parents. Some are living with distant relatives. Others were taken in by strangers who can barely provide for their own families. They have now turned to WIAH for help. But we do not have the funds to provide all the support these children need.
At WIAH we believe that education is the path to a better future. But we cannot welcome them into our classrooms and turn our backs on their basic necessities.
Our sponsorship program supports only a child’s education.
The Care Beyond the Classroom Fund will help to provide food, clothing, school support, and other everyday necessities.
Your recurring gift will allow us to continue helping these children, month after month.
These children have already lost enough. Stand with us to show them that their lives matter.
Prefer to make a one-time gift? You can do that too.
Every book tells a story. Every purchase helps write another one.
Dr. Claude Louis’s children’s books are created to help keep children in school through Words In Action Haiti. 100% of the proceeds support educational opportunities for our children.
Choose one book—or collect them all—and help a child continue their education and write their own story one day.
Books, school materials, computers, solar equipment — in-kind donations go directly to the school. Contact WIA to arrange shipping or coordination.
Help with fundraising, offer professional skills, or organize a drive at your church or organization. WIA will match you to a need.
Share WIA’s story with your network. Follow on social media. Talk about it. The more people who know, the more children get help.
