Healthcare In Rural Haiti

In many parts of Haiti, there is only one physician for more than 50,000 people.  As a result of this many people have a fatalistic perspective about an illness.  Most people need to walk miles to get to a clinic, and if you are ill this makes it very difficult and can exacerbate the symptoms the person is experiencing.

 

 

Education Sponsorship Program

Education is freedom.  We would like to challenge the children who live in the mountain village of Qui Croit to follow their God-given potential to realize their dreams with optimism.  Some of these precious children end up staying home to help with the farm or collect water all the while the family is not able to afford to send them to school.  We would like to help support these children and to encourage them to stay in school.  This will allow them to be servants of their community one day, changing their lives and the lives of their family and neighbors.

 

Community Development

Our goal for the people of Qui Croit is for them to be able to be leaders and play an active role in their community by being offered a chance to start their own business, make improvements in their farming techniques and to add certain agricultural crops such as coffee, trees and more vegetables.
